Hi! I’m Karen, Diet Coke addict, lover of pasta, football, and all things chocolate! I enjoy live music, red wine, hanging out with my studly hubby and mothering my three daughters (twin 8 year-olds and a 5 year-old).
Photography gained real meaning for me when my first husband passed away from cancer in 2010. I look back at the photographs that he and I had taken together and they are my most treasured possessions of our life together. I may have lost him, but I will always have those images and the beautiful memories we made. My experience with him sparked my passion for creating images of lasting memories for families—the kind of memories that put a silly smile on your face and make you giggle to yourself while you remember how amazing those moments were.
I’ve had the amazing pleasure of being in this business for over a decade. Aside from running my business, I donate time as a volunteer photographer for Magic Hour and have blogged about my cancer and caregiving experiences for the Huffington Post’s Healthy Living section as a chance to advocate for cancer awareness. I volunteer on my neighborhood’s arts council and on the parent-teacher organization at my daughters’ school. I love what I do, whatever it is I happen to be doing!
